Gilbert's 2026 Summer VBS & Church Camp Guide — Everything Gilbert Families Need in One Place

If you've been trying to track down Vacation Bible School and kids summer camp options in Gilbert, Arizona for 2026, we put it all in one place. Gilbert with the Benders compiled 19 church-run programs — morning and evening, free and low-cost — into one interactive flipbook guide with dates, ages, themes, and registration info so you're not clicking around all summer.

If you live in Gilbert, you already know summers here are long, hot, and full of families looking for things to do. We've heard from so many of you that finding VBS programs feels like a scavenger hunt — checking church websites, scrolling Facebook, spotting signs in parking lots. Wes and I decided to just fix that.

What We Put Together — and Why

This summer, Gilbert with the Benders built the Gilbert Summer VBS & Church Camp Guide 2026, a free interactive flipbook that pulls 19 community-open programs into one easy-to-scan resource. We're talking traditional Vacation Bible Schools, evening kids camps, multi-day off-site experiences, and everything in between — all in Gilbert, Arizona and the immediate surrounding Southeast Valley area.

Here's a quick look at what's inside:

Morning VBS programs are perfect if you're home with your kids and want a few structured hours earlier in the day before the heat sets in. Programs like San Tan Bible Church's Emerald Crossing VBS, Christ Greenfield Church's Rainforest Falls, Center Church's Illumination Station, St. Anne Roman Catholic Parish's traditional VBS, and Elliot Road Baptist's June program all fall into this category. Gilbert UMC also runs VBS plus smaller themed camps for kids as young as age 3.

Evening VBS and kids camps are a lifeline for working parents or anyone who'd rather avoid the mid-afternoon Arizona sun. MISSION Church runs a multi-night evening VBS with a dedicated option for kids with special needs — something we think is worth calling out specifically. LifeChurch Gilbert offers a completely free, week-long evening VBS for kids roughly ages 3–11. Life Community Church is doing a Minecraft-themed evening VBS, which, honestly, your kids will hear about from their friends before you do. Central Christian Church's Kingdom Quest Kids Camp and Sun Valley Community Church's Gilbert Campus evening kids camp round out strong options in that timeframe.

A few programs also offer off-site summer camp experiences — Life Community Church runs a multi-day camp alongside their on-site VBS, and Gilbert UMC adds smaller themed camps for the youngest kids.

Most programs run preschool (age 3–4, potty-trained) through 5th or 6th grade. Costs vary — many are free, some charge a small fee for t-shirts and supplies, and the multi-day off-site experiences are priced accordingly. The guide flags which ones are free so you can plan around your budget.

Why Wes and Lisa Built This

Here's the honest truth: Gilbert is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and it's growing because families want to be here. Part of what makes Gilbert, Arizona feel like a community — and not just a suburb — is that there are real neighborhood institutions putting on programs like these every single summer.

We're not just real estate agents who help people find houses in the Southeast Valley. We're people who live here, whose kids grew up here, and who genuinely want Gilbert families to have the resources they need. A VBS guide isn't directly about buying or selling a home — but it's exactly the kind of thing that makes someone feel like they belong in a neighborhood. That matters to us.

And practically speaking: when families are well-connected to their communities, they stay. That stability is part of what makes Gilbert one of the most consistently desirable markets in the Southeast Valley year after year.

When do Gilbert VBS programs start in summer 2026?

Most programs kick off in early to mid-June, with a strong cluster running the weeks of June 1 and June 7–8. Evening programs with later June dates — around the week of June 22 — are also available for families who need more scheduling flexibility. Check the full guide for specific start dates for each church.

Are Gilbert VBS programs free?

Many are completely free or very low cost. LifeChurch Gilbert's evening VBS, for example, is listed as free for the community. Others charge a small fee — typically to cover crafts, snacks, or a t-shirt. Multi-day off-site camps have higher costs. The guide notes which programs are free so you can filter quickly.

How do I register for VBS programs in Gilbert, Arizona?

Each church handles registration separately through their own website or office. The interactive flipbook links out to individual registration pages. Because many free and low-cost programs fill fast, it's worth clicking through sooner rather than later — especially for programs that have been running for several years and have a built-in following.

What to Do Next

If you're a Gilbert or Southeast Valley parent, open the guide, bookmark it, and share it with your neighborhood group. And if your church runs a VBS or kids camp that isn't listed yet, reach out — we want to keep this updated every summer. Wes Bender and Lisa Bender are always looking for ways to be a resource to this community, whether that's a kids camp guide or helping you figure out your next real estate move.
